I See You

I want you to know that I see you.

Most of your friends have had babies. Not you, though.

You want them, badly. I can tell.

You react to all of my posts about fertility and loss.

I have a feeling your journey has been long and hard.

It takes everything not to reach out to you.

But you keep your sorrow to yourself and that’s okay.

Not everyone wants to be an open book nor should they.

But I just hope you know two important things:

You are not alone.

Your time will come.

This journey sucks. There is no better way to describe it.

There are times when you feel like it will never happen. That feeling manifests into deep sadness.

But I am here to tell you that it will.

I was there. I remember the debilitating agony.

There is no longing compared to the longing to be a mama, but you already know that.

So I’m just here to say I see you and I’m rooting for you.
