A New Beginning

As I type this, I honestly don’t know how to get the words out- which is new for me.

Two years ago, my best friend believed in me and convinced me to follow my dream in starting a foundation that financially and emotionally supported those impacted by infertility and loss.

Why?

Because I knew that world all too well and always wanted to help anyone I could once I finally got to be a mom. That notion is what got me through my journey.

In that two years, we have exceeded my hopes. Multiple grants have been given out to those seeking fertility treatment and in those several pregnancies and births resulted. There were women who were gutted by miscarriages who attended our support groups and have since birthed their rainbow babies. Most importantly, there was a community built that included those impacted and those who just wanted to help.

If you are reading this, I cannot thank you enough. No matter who you are, whether you were a supporter, grant recipient, group member, or anyone who utilized us to be more aware of the infertility and loss world, you made a difference.

Which is why this post is so hard. It is with much thought and consideration that I announce the end to this chapter. If I could do this forever there would be no question, but my biggest priority is my children. The further into motherhood I get, the more protective I am of their stories. Their lives are theirs and how they came to be should be their choice to share. I can’t continue to be fully invested in this foundation while simultaneously doing what is in their best interest.

This was not an easy conclusion but the right one for my family.

I need to do what I always dreamed I could, be their mom.

The future of the foundation is unknown at this time as far as new ownership, but I know the impact will live in in the people who contributed to its success. I also know that I will make sure it’s legacy continues.

I promise you to announce more as we get closer to the end of 2024.

We still have one more quarter left of 2024 and I fully intend to make as much of a difference as possible. We have several grant applications to review and distribute financial support for.

To our sponsors, The Fertility Center and Exit Realty Home Partners, thank you for your constant support. Our events would not happen without you.

If you are still on your journey to parenthood, please know you are not alone. It is unfair you have to be a part of the 1 in 6, but you are among the strongest people we know.

Sending all my love and baby dust,

Jessica
